The adidas Samba is an indoor soccer training shoe. It has been among adidas' most popular, bestselling shoes in recent times. It uses a tan gumsole that distinguishes it from other known adidas models such as the Dragon, Samoa, and Gazelle. The shoe itself was produced in 1950 to enable soccer players to train on icy hard ground (hence the suction on the gumsole). Its original design featured the classic three stripes, as well as the gold trefoil on the foldable tongue.

5Very comfortable, very coolSep 22, 2009

What is there to say about these shoes besides the fact that they're very comfortable, feel great (redundancy), and look good? Not much, I guess. What else do you say about shoes? Did I mention that these shoes feel great on the feet, as they would feel anywhere else? Seriously, buy a pair if you're into that whole wearing-shoes thing. $40 or so for a great pair of shoes, very good deal. I mean, you could do a lot worse; you could be spending any money at all on a pair of Crocs. (Whatever America did to deserve those, we sincerely apologize.) Anyway, wearing them with a pair of shorts is fine, but if you're vain when it comes to your legs or you're not quite ready to let your friends know that you too shave the fuzz from your legs, wear these Originals with a pair of trousers, khaki or gray, whatever you're feeling. The shoes are casually athletic, like white guys who say, "Yeah, I play soccer" but in fact have never played soccer for a recreational team and have little-to-none-at-all knowledge about the sport, but the idea sounds good. What's better than running around on green grass, sometimes getting to kick a ball, in short shorts and a jersey, giving yourself and others the impression that you're athletic? You're fooling everyone, don't worry. And after you wipe your forehead and throw your short bangs back, covered in sweat, after you trot over to the sideline, breathing hard, grab a towel, wipe yourself off, sit down in the grass and not the bleachers (on purpose, of course; athletes don't sit in seating apparatuses), take off those hopefully-filthy cleats and slip on these cool-as-hell vintage shoes. I promise they will reinforce your image as an athlete. Did I mention they feel like a foot-rub given by the most beautiful girl in the world? Please, wear these shoes with a sense of honor: be yourself, and for God's sakes, don't pop your collar.

The white/royal blue sambas are really good looking and very comfortable. I dont play soccer and I wear these shoes because of the comfort and the style they have. Very good shoe choice! I would reccomend these for anyone!

4Good ShoesJan 03, 2007

Very comfortable shoes and they fit the purpose. Shoe laces are too short so order an extra pair of these.. These are classic sneakers that beat any of the the new ones out today.

5"classic" - a dererved nameNov 01, 2002

Indoor soccer shoes come and go but the Samba goes on forever. This shoe design has been around since the 1980's. There are hard-wearing shoes; the soles have great grip and won't wear down easily. The felt toe makes this a longlasting shoe with strength where it's needed most. The stitching will last and last. But the Samba's greatest asset is its comfort. Great for outdoors, too.

5PerfectionMar 25, 2010

Reading some of the reviews here and I became slightly apprehensive about purchasing these shoes - at least without going to the store and trying them on. The price wasn't ridiculous so I dove in and purchased these shoes. I ordered them on a Monday and got them on Wednesday - quick, easy service - exactly what I want. The only slight complaint I have, would be the inside box which contained the shoes looked slightly used, nothing too bad. I'm sure it could've been caused by the people handling the shipment. The shoes were in perfect brand-new condition, as were the laces. This is my first pair of Samba's and certainly won't be my last . They are slightly narrow so if you're in a half size, size up. I wear a 12.5 and am really glad I sized up to a 13.
